shabby chic card

This month our collaborating partner at A blog named hero is May Arts ribbon. They have very beautiful collection of ribbons go check them out.

I have tried a shabby chic card today. I used 2.5 inch open weave burlap net, 5/8 inch adhesive rosettes and 3/8 multi sized beaded string from May Arts ribbon along with Hero Arts chevron background stamp and Stamp n cut butterfly set.

I first white embossed the chevron pattern on a white cardstock and inked it with vintage photo distress ink also inked the adhesive rosettes. Arranged all the ribbons with the help of glue. Die cut the butterfly in white cardstock inked the edges and layered it with a vellum diecut butterfly which gives a look of a wood veneer. Added a couple of pearls at the centre of the butterfly. Stamped the sentiment on white piece of cardstock with black memento ink and inked the edges.

See you soon!! Happy crafting!!

No line coloring

I have followed the current challenge sketch from CAS colour and sketch blog. For my card I did no line distress ink coloring. I used the penny black delightful stamp.

I first stamped the image in spun sugar distress ink which is very light color and it guides to further coloring. I used seedless preserves,  mustard seed, vintage photo and pine needles for coloring. Stamped the sentiment in black memento ink. Used simon says stamps stitched rectangle die.
I just saw the new challenge at Create something catchy challenge is no line coloring.

Tic tac toe challenge

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Tic tac toe challenge at Hero Arts blog. I played along with the last row watercolor, tag and your favorite color. My favorite color is blue.
I used gansai tambi watercolor paints to color the background. After the color was tried I applied embossing paste using the Hero Arts tweed pattern stencil.  I cut a tag of white colored cardstock rolled a white twine at the top. The butterfly is cut using Hero Arts stamp n cut butterfly set. I cut three vellum butterflies and did copic coloring on two and kept the one butterfly as it is, glued all the three butterflies and used foam tape to glue it on white tag.

Added some dimension by adding foam tape to the tag.  To finish my card I added some pretty pink posh sequins and added some glossy accents to the centre of the butterfly.
