Made this card using the sketch from CAS(E) sketch challenge #77. Used hero arts shadow inks, stamped images from favorite flowers simon says stamp, added a little glitter on using wink of stella clear pen and here is my clean and simple card :)
To start with this week I have a movie inspired card to share which I made for Lulupu challenge #31- movie inspiration. The story behind this card is while i was reading the challenge post at lulupu's blog my laptop was playing songs from the hindi movie Rockstar and decided why not make a card inspired from the same movie. Here is my take on it.
Since the music of this movie really ROCKS and the main character plays guitar so used a guitar and musical notes stickers, chipboard, black embroidery thread. On the right side of the card base have embossed lines using scoreboard which go along with the guitar strings. Colored the chipboard with black to match with the red and grey base. Also you can see i have tilted the red base a little to just give a twist to the card and i totally loved the card hope you all liked it too :)
Have stamped the flowers using the versa mark ink directly on the white card base. Have used another sheet of white cardstock cut into 2 stamped the hello sentiment on it and adhered it with foam tape to add dimension to the card :)
Made an easel card keeping in mind the sweet home theme.. Used The Mind's Eye pattern papers, did some stamping on the wood paper to add some florals (like a garden) using avery elle stamp and hero arts shadow inks. The wooden letters are from craftslane :) Have distressed the edges to subtle the color of the papers. The window and door are adhered using foam dots to give a three imensional look.. have added a pearl on the door nob :)
For a long time I wanted to try this card made by Jennifer Mcguire.. so now while browsing at ABNH blog saw that they have this challenge called Inspired by hero Artists and the challenge ends today so just in time I made these 2 cards
Have used hero arts stamp speckled ornaments, versa mark ink and the sentiment is also from hero arts. I have kept these cards very simple as I just wanted the focus to be on the image and its dimensional look :)
First I distressed the PP with vintage photo ink and gave the torn effect at the edges with the edge of the scissor. Used the blue doily from maya road (its less visible in the pic) distressed the edges of doily too. ribbon, pearls and leaves from stash. Used prima flowers and at centre used mulberry roses added distress at top to give a shabby look. Also used border lace punch from MS.
Will try some handmade die-cut flowers once i get my new bigshot and recreate this card :)
Give me your comments on how I can improve on shabby chic cards :)
